In 2020, we purchased 19 delivery routes at the 311 terminal in Austell, GA, but the COVID-19 pandemic rapidly increased this to 35 routes, creating a major challenge in finding and retaining reliable drivers. Despite trying recruiting services, paid ads, and hoping for walk-in candidates, we faced inconsistent results, with some candidates failing background checks or not showing up, while the added stress caused us to lose valuable drivers. The constant cycle of driver turnover led to missed routes, team strain, and late nights scrambling to fill gaps, keeping us stuck in survival mode. Realizing external solutions weren’t working, we founded Ancile Services, a recruiting company built by service providers to address these challenges with a smarter, more reliable approach tailored to the needs of delivery businesses. Ancile’s mission is to help service providers build dependable, long-term driver teams, allowing them to move from crisis management to business growth.
